    1. The fact that you saw this on your property and thought it was more r/midlyinteresting and not as much r/creepy is what gets to me the most

    2. I definitely enjoy the occasional barefoot walk through shallow snow to get the mail or something, so I get this. I wasn’t on your driveway as far as I know, though.

    3. What? I’m your neighbour and I saw you put your bare foot there and then take this photo.

    4. Someone’s shoe fell off, maybe flat-tire style. The toe prints in the center don’t have a heel mark like they were trying to keep most of their sock dry.

    5. A very light person, not very tall, somewhat on the thin side, sort of prancing to move heavy on the front, barely a print from the heel but both prints skid the heel,

They were cold and also not wearing pants, no discernable scuffing around the foot print.

The toes are not splayed outward, indicating somebody with good balance and agility, they were not walking or running, but coming down nearly vertical with a slight skid as they tried to keep their heel up.

You got any teenage kids who had a friend slip away?

Hypothermia makes you undress because your nerves die. I’ve also known people who were homeless and weren’t addicted to drugs before becoming homeless, but the drugs created the illusion of feeling numb to the cold or even warm when they were actually lowering their body temperature. Several drugs do this, even more normalized substances such as alcohol and cannabis. They only create the illusion of warmth, when you’re actually getting colder. If you’re cold enough, your nerves become fried, and in your delirious state, you take your clothes off to try to stay “cool”.

Many people saw this post and their first thought was that it was creepy. My first feeling was sadness.

Edit: I also meant to add the fact that many homeless people are regularly mugged because of their vulnerability, and one of the first things that is stolen from them is usually their shoes.

    7. As a healthcare provider, I find this alarming.
Make sure there are no missing elderly folks with dementia in your neighborhood.

      Must be sleep reposting.

This has been posted like 11 times in so many different places.

    9. Do you have a carbon monoxide leak and you don’t remember leaving your house barefoot? 👀👀

    10. One thing I learned as a Florida man is that flip flops don’t work well in snow. It’s easier to just go barefoot.

I’ve done this. Opened the door so my kid could get on the bus, and the cat bolted. I chased them barefoot for 5 minutes before I caught him.

    12. Years and years ago I was finishing my basement, mostly by myself. Drywall dust everywhere. I came home from work early one day and walked down to the mostly completed basement to check to see what I would need to grab from Home Depot that afternoon. On my way back up my subconscious caught something that brought me up short and took me a couple seconds to recognize. At the top of my basement stairs, on the hardwood floor of my living room, was a perfect, rather large, bare human footprint in the dust leading down to the basement. Just a single footprint. What…What the fuck do I do? I slowly took off my sneaker and lay my socked foot next to it. Way bigger than me (I wear an 11.5 US). I went upstairs quietly, armed myself, and slowly went back down into the basement. I cleared most of it but the way I had done the laundry room left about 12 inch gap from the concrete wall, enough for someone to squeeze down. I forced myself to try to clear it but I would have to really expose myself down near the end of where someone would conceivably be concealed from me so instead I backed out, closed the bi-fold doors, stacked a ton of shit in front of the doors, took a picture so I could tell later if anything was disturbed, armed my security system, and went to Home Depot. When I got back nothing was disturbed. I called my dad (his feet are smaller than mine) and he came over and together we completely cleared the back room/crawlspace. Nothing. No hint of another person. I didn’t work on the basement for another week or so after that. Eventually I finished it, enjoyed it for a couple years and moved. I did have a friend of mine over to help a number of times, and he is taller than me, but we compared his foot to a picture of the footprint next to my foot and it was bigger than his as well. Plus there would be no conceivable reason for him to be barefoot while helping me do the basement. One of the more unexplainable things I’ve experienced.

    13. How old ia this picture? Could be Stumpy McWillams before he got the diabeetus bad
